Our website is currently under development. In the meantime, you can start using some of our fully functional services. Simply go to the Account page, create a free account by logging in with one of the login providers (please note we are currently experiencing some issues with Google login), and add your smart device.
What We Offer
With our free web service, you can automatically turn ON/OFF your heating devices to use electricity during the cheapest hours of the day. This not only saves you money but also helps reduce the impact of non-renewable energy sources on our climate.
How Is Our Service Different
While there are other similar services available, our service stands out because you don't need to purchase any expensive gadgets to control your smart devices remotely. Another significant difference is that we put complete control of the smart devices in the hands of our users. They can customize the ON/OFF schedule for their devices based on various parameters. We are always open to suggestions for new parameters to enhance how users control their devices.
Why Our Services May Interest You
Our users have reported savings of 150-300 EUR during the heating season when using a regular-sized heat pump. We will soon provide the possibility to automate the charging of EV cars, offering even more opportunities for savings.
Future Enhancements
In time, we will add the capability to automate the charging of your EV car.
Current Offerings
At the moment, we recommend and support automation using eWeLink and Shelly smart devices and their API platform.
What You Need
To use our free service, you need (please note that we are not affiliated with the products/services listed below):
- with eWeLink:
- An eWeLink smart device (~ 5--12 EUR) (eWeLink device store: [here] or [here]. You may find it even cheaper on Temu or AliExpress. Look for these logos in product descriptions:
or
) - A subscription to the eWeLink API service (~ 9 EUR/year) [link]
- An eWeLink smart device (~ 5--12 EUR) (eWeLink device store: [here] or [here]. You may find it even cheaper on Temu or AliExpress. Look for these logos in product descriptions:
- with Shelly:
- A Shelly smart device (~ 15--120 EUR) (Shelly device store (shipping from Europe):
) - Shelly offers a free API service. Therefore, when you purchase a Shelly smart device, it will be a one-time investment.
- Unfortunately, Shelly does not integrate well with Google Home and is only fully compatible with Alexa [how to trigger Alexa routines]. Since we do not provide user support for Alexa integration, those who choose to use Shelly with Alexa will need to handle the setup and usage on their own.
Here are the options for using Shelly: - Users with the necessary skills can use Shelly with Alexa, Home Assistant or Hubitat
- Shelly can be used to control "hard power-on/off" devices (e.g., heaters, boilers, etc.) without requiring integration with Alexa, Home Assistant, or Hubitat
- A Shelly smart device (~ 15--120 EUR) (Shelly device store (shipping from Europe):
With this setup you can control any of your devices, such as water boilers and heat pumps.
Compatibility
WiFi-enabled Heat Pumps (and other WiFi-enabled devices) : These can be directly linked to Google Home and then connected to our web service via the eWeLink power switch [link] (+ eWeLink API service [link]).
Older Heat Pumps (and other non-WiFi "soft power-on/off" devices): Because heat pumps (and other "soft power-on/off" devices) require a proper startup/shutdown process, they need an additional smart device, a smart infrared remote (~ 5 EUR), to be controlled via our service [link].
"Hard power-on/off" devices (heaters, boilers, etc.): You can connect your "hard power-on/off" devices directly to the eWeLink power switch (~ 5--12 EUR) [link / link] or to the Shelly power switch (~ 15--120 EUR) [link].
EV cars: [coming soon]
Looking Ahead
In the near future, we hope to offer an even better, simpler, and totally free solution. If Google approves our app, you will be able to directly interact with your smart devices (smart switches, smart heat pumps, etc.) via the Google Home app, and you will not need to spend any EUR at all.
